Operation Transformation is a local faith-based non-profit organization whose purpose is: “to foster a united, life-giving church in the Greater Blue Water Area that works together with civic and service organizations to develop ways to meet the many needs of the citizens of our community”. The goal is to see “Churches Cooperating for a Changed Community”.  Programs and activities have naturally fallen into 5 categories:

  1. Church - OT works with faith-based organizations by attending minister association meetings, planning collaborative services and outreaches, sitting on boards and committees, and sponsoring conferences.
  2. Community - OT works with organizations and as a committee/board member to represent the faith-based community and perspective.  It is also a liaison for communication between churches and other organizations.  OT oversees the VIP and MPRI mentoring programs, working with the court and prison systems.
  3. Chaplaincy - Rev. Seppo has served as the Chaplain for the St. Clair County  Sheriff’s Office since 2002.  He oversees all Spiritual Life programming at the Intervention Center (jail).  He also is a volunteer chaplain to other departments, hospitals, schools and businesses.
  4. Commerce - OT sponsors COMPASS Christian Business Alliance.
  5. Certification - OT has developed a program that faith-based, non-profit organizations can utilize to verify they are operating at the highest standards in their legal, financial and procedural aspects.
