COMPASS MEDIA NEW! > > 10.16.08 - Tam Weber ***AUDIO*** The speaker for the October COMPASS luncheon was Tamara Weber. The title of her message was “Unleashing Excellence” and the topic is customer service. Tam Weber has been a registered nurse for 25 years and has a passion for both nursing and leadership. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from SCCCC in 1983, a Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Mercy College in Detroit in 1987 and a Masters Degree in Nursing Administration from Oakland University in 1999. Tam has specialized in the areas of cancer care, nursing research, parish nursing, and critical care. She has been on staff at Mercy Hospital over 11 years as an oncology nurse, critical care nurse and Director of Oncology Services. Tam also served as an adjunct faculty member for the School of Nursing at SCCCC and Oakland University. She worked as the administrator of ABC Home Care until 1998, when making the decision with her business partner to open Beacon Home Care. Tam currently serves on the Advisory Board for the SCCCC School of Nursing, is board president of Massive Impact Ministries, and serves as president of COMPASS. 09.18.08 - Jeff Kaczperski ***AUDIO*** The speaker for the September COMPASS luncheon was Jeff Kaczperski and his title was “Light Bright From 8 to 5”. Mr. Kaczperski is the President of Omega Plastics, an organization recognized as a leader in prototyping and low-volume production of plastic components and assemblies. Jeff has served in the marketplace for nearly 20 years and has been quoted in technical trade magazines and fulfilled speaking engagements for industry events. Jeff is currently the Board Chair for S.O.N.S., a member of the strategic planning committee of COMPASS, and is a founding member of a new ministry called “Master’s Purpose” designed to help others find and fulfill God’s calling on their life. Jeff, his wife Dawn, and their two children live in St. Clair County, Michigan. 10.18.07 - Jim Lacy ***AUDIO*** The special guest speaker for the October COMPASS luncheon was Jim Lacy, speaking on the topic “Your Work Matters to God”. Mr. Lacy is from Sparta, Michigan and is a professor at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids. His courses include Business Ethics, Business Values and Social Responsibility, and Introduction to Philosophy. He holds two Masters and a Doctorate Degree. Mr. Lacy has traveled in 12 countries, most recently teaching in the Ukraine and Siberia. 09.20.07 - Nancy Henry & Laura Kenny ***AUDIO*** The special guest speakers for the September COMPASS luncheon were Nancy Henry and Laura Kenny (both ACSW, LMSW and SAP). They are with the Employee Assistance Program and shared on the topic of “Employee Assistance and How it Can help You”. 04.19.07 - Marty Doorn ***AUDIO*** The special guest speaker for the April COMPASS luncheon was Marty Doorn. Mr. Doorn is the founder and owner of local radio station WGRT-102.3FM. Marty has served on numerous boards and committees in the Blue Water Area and is currently the president-elect of the Chamber of Commerce and is on the planning team for Port Huron's Sesquicentennial Celebration. He was recently profiled in Savvy magazine, and lives by the core values of "faith, family & friends." Marty has three adult children and a grandson, and currently lives in Port Huron with his wife Sue. |
